Well hello to all of you beautiful people! Welcome to Omong Omong; I actually made this segment to accommodate my blabbing urges, and honestly, my mind are constantly full of random silly things that sometimes left me wondering if I am in anyways crazy.
Moving on, I'm premiering my series of Omong Omong by making this beauty article (which is TOTALLY out of my character, I don't even wear anything daily, i just wash my face with warm water only and leave to school bare-faced.) Here I'll share to you the beauty products that I usually wear to special occasions, like birthdays, prom, graduation, weddings, cause I often went to weddings (those who's close to me would know that my mom works as a wedding organizer - and I'm expected to help her all the time and that means that I'd have to look presentable.)
Some of you may wonder why I'd recommend the products below and if you could actually trust my opinion, so therefore I'll tell you beforehand that I actually like to test out beauty products - for fun! So the products below are the ones that I've tried and have been wearing on a frequent basis and some I've purchased repeatedly due to it's awesomeness. I wouldn't actually recommend you stuffs that I don't even like now would I? lol.
Now that everything's cleared, let's start buzzin' bee hutches!
FACE THINGIES
1. Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator by NYX
I usually use this to highlight the high points of my face, like my cheekbones, forehead, nose bridge, etc. But I wouldn't recommend this for daily use, cause it's quite glittery, and personally I think this will look too over the top for work or school, yaknowhatimean?
2. Shine Killer by NYX
I use this product as a base before I put anything else on, it'll even out your skin making it smooth and give it matte finish. And your face wouldn't get oily throughout the day. (or just use it whenever you might be taking selfies cause trust me sister, no magic skin filter could beat this. you're welcome.)
3. BB Cream by Wardah
Now that we know that there's a cosmetic line that's authentically Halal, and have amazing quality, what else would keep you from using it? This is my trustee BB Cream, it's light and airy, matches my pale skin nicely and it's easy to apply too.
4. Clear Smooth BB Silk Poreless White Skin Transforming Cake Powder by Maybelline (that was a mouthful)
I got this from my dearest aunt Tante Yuri, she wrote this really awesome blog called Two Thousand Things (thankyou tante!)
On to the product, it's actually pretty nice, and the packaging is really cute, and I NEVER resist cute stuffs.
5. Supracolor Teintschminke by Kryolan
I use this as foundation, it's got reaaaaal nice coverage. But you got to apply it gently and DO NOT I repeat DO NOT dab to much cream on to your face cause otherwise it can get reaaaally cake-y. And you'd look awkward, and i'd feel sorry for you.
6. Long Wearing Two Way Cake Combination Pallete by PAC Martha Tilaar
It's just basically two way cake powders which consists of three shades of powder inside. I usually use this to contour my face, using the brightest one to highlight and the darkest one to shade.
7. Perfect Finish Creamy Foundation by PAC Martha Tilaar
I also use this for contouring, but I apply it alongside the foundation cause it goes along with the creamy texture of the foundation.
EYES, CHEEKS AND OTHER COLORFUL THINGS
8. Blush in Tawny by Bobbi Brown
I find this blush to be very helpful because due to it's shade (tawny )I can use it for either blush or contouring! win-win for me!
9. Eye Shadow Base by NYX
I use this product as a base before I put my eyeshadow on because 1. It makes the eyeshadow stay longer and 2. The eyeshadow sticks better so there's not too many leftover eyeshadow powders splattered all over my dolled up face. Which is highly annoying and soo not cool.
10. Makeup Palette by Sephora
This pretty little thing had been my companion to each and every event I attended. I'ts cute, It's small, It has got all of the eyeshadow colors i'd actually use, there's lipstick there, and oh it also has a really pretty blush on the side. It's an actual triple threat.
11. Shimmer Waves Bronzer by The Body Shop
It's classified as a bronzer but it's just as brilliant as an eyeshadow palette. It's very shimmery and the tones are very natural and pretty. You can use it on a daily basis if you want, it'll make your skin glow under the daylight.
12. Perfect Finish Pearly Eyeshadow by PAC Martha Tilaar
This is an eyeshadow palette consisting 8 highly pigmented glittery bright colored eyeshadows, preferably worn in the evening, cause it's very glamorous and daring and it'll absolutely serve a bold eye look very well.
MASCARAAAAAS + 1 PENCIL!
13. Photoready 3D Volume by Revlon
This blush have this really slim applicator thingy, so I usually use this for my lower lashes. My lashes are very short (almost non-existant) so this mascara doesnt really do justice to my upper lashes, but they're still really nice nonetheless.
14. Everything Mascara by Bobbi Brown
Honestly, I dont mean to be biased or anything but this mascara is my favorite, since almost forever. I mean it's everything mascara. it does everything I expect a mascara to do, and I even wore it on my eyebrows. it's amazingly everything like that.
15. Hyper Curl Volum Express Waterproof by Maybelline
Even though I bought this one on a local drugstore, in a cashier booth, but do not underestimate it's fanciness. This mascara can actually make my non-existent eyelashes exist, and that's saying a lot.
16. Intensecolor Eyeshadow Pencil by PAC Martha Tilaar
This is just plain beautiful. One side black, the other side gold. It's perfect, not debatable.
CLEANSERS AND IT'S ALLIES
17. Cleanser by Wardah
This cleanser felt really nice on my skin, it's not sticky or slimy or whatever, and it smells really nice too. I'm good with it.
18. Body Lotion in Innocence by Wardah
I use this to moisturize my skin neck-down, it smells reeeeeeeeeeally nice and it's not sticky, and it dries quickly, in which i like to believe that my skin had absorbed all of it's goodness (well who knows?), but my skin's always left feeling amazing after using this.
19. Pore Tightening Toner by Wardah
I have pretty much humongous pores soo I like to use toners, because i feel like it (Ha) but it actually reduces blackheads (yes it did)
20. Acne Perfecting Moisturizer Gel by Wardah
BEST MOISTURIZER EVER. I went crazy the first time I discovered it, I applied it to my face each time I felt like it, and it's like almost every 10 minutes or so, soo I ended up buying a dozen of these. True story.
21. Brush Cleanser by PAC Martha Tilaar
I have loads of brushes and after a while it can get very disgusting, so I'd cleanse it monthly or every time I feel like I need to, soo this is very handy in keeping all of my fluffy brushes clean! you should invest in brush cleansers too cause there's all sorts of germs invested on your brushes after multiple use, and you should keep em clean before the germs infect your oh-so-sacred skin.
So there's almost all of my beauty weapons. Not much, I know. But in my defense, I rarely even use makeup and in days which I do wear them, those things above are really all that I ever wore.
And here's a little tip, if you have just as effed up makeup knowledge as me, you can teach yourself by watching heck loads of beauty tutorials on youtube! my personal faves are Lauren Curtis, Karissa Pukas, and Nikkie Tutorials, they make amazingly detailed tutorials and it's just very fun to ogle on them getting glammed up and eventually getting all giddy and stalkerish on their instagram accounts (which I did by the way).
I hope you enjoy reading this (or most likely scrolling through the pictures cause you might or might not have cared less of my amateur beauty opinions slash blabbers HAHA) and I really hope this will be helpful, until next Omong Omong!
Peace and all the love in my DNA.
